Just had it serviced 19/12/25 by Porsche Centre Melbourne with brake fluids flushed and suspension tightened, car is in great condition! Very sad to be letting this go. I have too many cars and looking to add more, with limited garage space. This is an excellent unmodified example.
A 981 Boxster S with bumper to bumper warranty is rare! This is a must have option as any repairs or faults are very expensive eg air conditioning system repair $10,000, PDK replacement $25,000. The car has had its whole infotainment unit replaced just because of a sticky button ($7000) and the driver’s side door card replaced from the well known lifting issue ($8000). If you are looking at other cars I would suggest you ask when anything was replaced by Porsche, if they haven’t it’s a sitting duck for repairs.
You’re looking at the car, so you know what an amazing machine this is. From the way it corners, to that classic flat 6 wail from 4500rpm up with the top down, to that magical suspension tuning, to the ability to place the car accurately on the road. This is a drivers car and one of the best cars on the road for the price. Also the chance to own the last flat 6 in this range without spending crazy money.
As you know the 981s have the 911 engine. The extra torque over the base model makes cruising with the top down effortless. This makes it more practical for either cruising or sporty driving. The base model requires abit of wringing out to get the most from. Even winter driving is comfortable with the top down, with seat heating and the heater on! The cabin comfort is remarkable!
I am the 3rd owner, with the previous owner having owned it for 9 years (from 3000km). This car has full paint protection film, full ceramic coating, and interior protection done by Tint Haus Sydney May 2025. The car is hand washed by me at least every fortnight. The car is garaged and always kept out of sun. The interior is almost factory condition!
The usual applies: warming up to temp before revving, only drinks 98RON, never been tracked etc

In my view, this car is one of the most reliable option wise. The PSE is known to eventually break ($6000), the seats are not memory which means less chance of it breaking, PASM lowers the car too much which leads to frequent scrapping and the standard ride is excellent. The Bose is not really much better, and to be honest I don’t even listen to anything whilst driving because of the flat 6.
This car won’t last long. It is drive away ready with nothing more to do or worry about!

981 S Convertible 2dr PDK 7sp 3.4i Similarly to the 991 series Porsche 911, the latest Boxster is lighter, with a longer wheelbase than its predecessor and offers more power from worked-over powerplants. The base 195kW/280Nm 2.7-litre horizontally opposed, mid-mounted six gets the Boxster to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds while the gruntier 232kW/360Nm 3.4-litre S version reaches that mark in 5.0 seconds. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual or a seven-speed PDK automated manual. Like the 911, the Boxster's extra length and wider tracks are all about handling rather than augmenting interior space - although it is up slightly. Also 911-style, the Boxster now gets electro mechanical power steering.
