The chart-topping SL-Class improves on fuel efficiency, increases power and now there are seven-speed autos across the range. The all alloy body shell trims 140kg from the previous model, with a host of alloy components employed in the suspension and powertrain. As ever, safety is paramount, especially in an open top vehicle. To that end there are strengthened A pillars and two roll bars.
