The GJ Mazda6 is quite an improvement over its predecessor, itself not bereft of praise. While it's a larger vehicle all round, it conforms to the requirements of frugality and driving experience, while notching up green credentials with its SKYACTIV brake energy regeneration "i-eloop" and the idle stop/start "i-stop" systems. As a driver's car there's an improved view via rearward A pillars in a swish cabin with a European bent. Safety features are something to behold " tomorrow's tech today. The hatch has gone, with sedan and wagon versions across the extensive all automatic petrol/turbodiesel range.
