Overview
The HSE Freelander 2 comes with the SD4 turbodiesel mated to the six-speed Sports Automatic transmission and develops 140kW/420Nm - an extra 30kW over the TD4. The engine can operate on ten-percent bio-diesel and has received modifications designed to reduce engine noise, vibration and harshness. Interior-wise there are no less than seven leather seat (Windsor included, obviously), and four trim options. Other exterior and interior upgrades are intended to impart an up-market feel to the vehicle, intentionally positioning it above its Asian and European SUV rivals, although the panoramic sunroof is an optional extra.
