There may be a two-wheel drive model in the range, but the 4WD versions are pretty decent off-roaders with three driveline choices, a two-speed transfer case and some real off-road ability. All this in a package close in size to, say, a Mazda CX-5 and offering the choice of two normally aspirated petrol engines: A 137kW/232Nm 2.4-litre four-cylinder for the base FWD Sport, and a 200kW/316Nm 3.2-litre Pentastar V6 for Longitude/Limited/Trailhawk 4WD variants. A diesel is on the way. Both engines drive through a nifty nine-speed auto transmission.
