They've also done the right thing by including a turbodiesel option. A size down from the Commodore it's similarly dimensioned to the Toyota Camry - not that far off. Its main competitors, including the Camry, would be the Subaru Liberty, Suzuki's Kizashi, the KIA Optima, the Hyundai i45, Ford's Mondeo and the Honda Accord Euro. You've got serious competition in that lot, and the Malibu may struggle to differentiate itself.
