Decided to sell my VF Redline.
It is powered by a 6.0-litre L77 V8 engine, which puts out 260kW (349hp) and 517Nm of torque.
With factory-fitted Brembos and sports suspension, it can stop incredibly quickly and corner like it's on rails.
It has scored 5 in the ANCAP safety rating.
With AFM (not available on manual VF and VF II), the beast drinks as little as 7.6L/100km with a family of 4 on highway.
You also get tons of legroom. With the driver's seat set for my 6'2" body, I can comfortably sit on the back seat (see interior photos).
I won't bore you with other Redline-specifics because I am not a car salesperson and you probably know what you are after -- a reliable V8 Commodore with factory upgraded suspension, brakes and Redline blings.
HISTORY
It was manufactured on the 20th day of May in 2014. I owned it since the 19th of June that year.
It travelled only 33,100km at the time of writing because of my long stint overseas. Most of the mileage was racked up from long trips.
It lived its entire life drinking nothing but 95 or 98 unleaded (you can fill up with regular unleaded if you wish).
It had engine oil and oil filter changed at 3,226km, 8,111km, 13,091km, 17,997km, 23,398km, 27,900km and 33,105km. Cabin air filter and engine air filter were both replaced last year.
Original tyres were replaced last year with even more grippier Bridgestone Potenza Sport.
The small crappy factory battery was replaced with a bigger (capacity and size) Century DIN65LH maintenance free battery.
All VF safety recalls were carried out: front seat bases (replaced; Sep '14), seat belt pretensioner harness (Sep '14), power steering (Apr '15), ball joints (Apr '15), and rear axle wiring harness (reworked; Feb '17).
The beast never had a smoker or a baby/child seat onboard (you can install multiple baby/child seats if you wish).
It was not involved in any accident or vandalism.
FEATURES
This car has blind spot sensor, front parking sensors and passenger airbag. Parking will be a breeze with park assist. This car has brake assist, driver airbag, rear view camera, lane departure warning, side airbags and ABS brakes. It has 6 airbags fitted for your protection. Alert/warning- collision forward.
You will love the DVD player. This car has front & rear power windows, leather gear knob, satellite navigation (GPS), voice recognition and rear spoiler. This car has 19" alloy wheels. This car has keyless start, USB audio input, bluetooth and power door mirrors. This car has electric power assisted steering. This car has a powered sunroof and cruise control.
ADDED FEATURES
It has had a genuine Holden rear spoiler, sport floor mats and a moulded boot liner from Day 1. It also comes with a 1600kg towbar, a full-size spare (I absolutely loathe tiny spares and tyre repair slime!) and DNA Films's Vision tint (no bubbles yet). If you make it a smooth and easy transaction, I will throw in a $1,600 Saris Superclamp EX 4-bike rack.
Must be seen in person to appreciate the excellent condition it is presented in.
Rego is paid until 18 Jun 2025. It will come with a roadworthy certificate.
