Renault takes on the big boys with the release of the Master van range. There are medium and long wheel based versions, both powered by a turbodiesel driving the front wheels through a six-speed manual or semi-automatic transmissions. To lower operating costs, they've fitted a number of maintenance free components and extended the service life of certain replaceables. Safety features include front airbags, stability control, traction control and ABS. Load capacities are up to 1645kg/10.3 cubic metres for the MWB and up to 1602kg/12.5 cubic metres for the LWB. There's further incentive - a class leading three-year/200,000km warranty including roadside assist.
