Under fire from the likes of Audi's A1, Citroen's DS3 and Alfa's Mito, the MINI Clubman S strides ahead with its 135kW/240Nm turbocharged petrol power-plant. Exterior changes have added almost 100mm to the freshened-up nose (to comply with Euro pedestrian safety regulations), and rearward the new LED brake lights grow brighter as brake pedal pressure increases. New alloy wheel designs come in 15, 16 and 17-inch. Inside, audio controls are now laid out conventionally. There are auto headlights, rain sensing wipers and velour floor mats. Unique here are the twin rear wagon doors and driver's side rear passenger door.
