Now sourced from Slovakia the third generation, series II Sportage differs marginally from what came before. The 2.4-litre engine has been dropped for a 2.0-litre for better economy, while they continue with the 2.0-litre turbodiesel, now a little more frugal. The high standard equipment levels continue, as does the Dynamax AWD system. Additions include HID headlamps on all models, cornering lamps, partial leather seat trim, rear seat warmers and windscreen wiper de-icers. Exterior differences are harder to spot - there's a Series II badge, rear fog lamps and a slightly different lower bumper design.
