The honest rundown:
This Rio has been my reliable daily for a while. It starts every time, drives smoothly, and has never let me down. The regular servicing means the mechanicals are solid – it's a great cheap runabout for work, study, or as a first car.
The cosmetic stuff (why it's priced fairly):
Front lower bumper has damage and needs replacing. A replacement bumper is $220 online – I've priced the car accordingly.
It's a bit rough around the edges – I bought it like that. A few scratches and general wear, nothing structural.
The good bits:
Very reliable – never broken down on me

Recent brake work ( rear pads in car, still not worn enough to change).

Joining the five-door hatch, are the three"door hatch and the (Si only) four-door sedan versions. Compared to the previous Rio there's more interior space and a better ride/handling compromise, specifically tuned for local conditions. The new benchmark 103kW/167Nm, 1.6-litre petrol engine benefits from direct injection, returning 5.6L/100km in manual form (actually lower than the 1.4) and emitting 133g/km of CO2. Equipment levels are taken to new levels for the outlay. With all models " S, Si, SLS (three-door) and SLi - fitted with ABS, stability/traction control, brake-force assist, hill-hold and six airbags, it gains a five star ANCAP rating.
