I’m selling my beloved Santa Fe as I'd like to buy a new car. No, I'm not going electric. I'm looking at utes... *grins*
I bought this car from my brother (the first owner) about 6 years ago when he upgraded to a ute. I jumped out of an Impreza (don’t laugh) into this beauty and instantly realised I had been living a lesser automotive life.
I bought it because it ticked my four sacred car boxes:
1. a powerful engine that will happily squeal the wheels if you give it a cheeky launch at the lights
2. leather seats because life is too short for scratchy fabric (that’s for taxis and bad Ubers)
3. heated front and rear seats! bro/sis, it’s Canberra, winter mornings here are a personality test
4. panoramic sunroof because sometimes you need sunlight and drama at the same time...
This is the top of the range Highlander model so it comes loaded with the good stuff. It’s a 7-seater and includes:
• diesel engine with automatic transmission
• electric seat adjustments
• panoramic sunroof
• tow bar
• factory roof bars
• rubber cargo tray in the boot
• rear loading edge protection mat
• two keys
• full spare tire
The best part? This car still wants the driver to actually drive it. No lane-assist wrestling the steering wheel off you! No random beeping because a leaf moved nearby! And no “safety feature” trying to end your bloodline every five minutes! It has cruise control, sensor wipers and the other useful stuff like stability control etc. but thankfully none of the modern-day nonsense that turns every drive into a negotiation with a computer. Check for full Carsales specs below.
The car has full service history AND has been regularly serviced at the dealership and approved mechanics.
I put on new tires were recently replaced and rego is renewed for 12 months (until March 2027).
It has 271,000 km but most of those are easy highway kilometers, not stop-start city driving! I work in Sydney so it regularly does Canberra-Sydney runs (sometimes weekly). I’m also a skier, so winter means trips to the mountains every weekend and sometimes twice a week. On top of that we drive to see family in Brisbane and Melbourne a couple of times a year. In other words, this car has spent its life doing exactly what a comfortable diesel SUV was built for.
It’s a 2013 car, not a museum piece. There are a few small scratches you’d expect from a well-looked-after SUV of this age. No accidents and no mechanical issues. Not under finance or any other encumbrances.
If you want a reliable, comfortable SUV with personality, this one is ready for its next chapter. It's a great car with loads of room, power and perks!
I’m not here to convince you – come see it for yourself and take it for a spin.
I’ve priced it reasonably and expect normal, reasonable buyers. No bull, no flakes and definitely no negotiations before you see the car.
