F12 MY11 Convertible 2dr Steptronic 8sp 3.0TT. The soft-top version of BMW's latest high-end 6 Series coupe pretty much replicates its steel-roofed sibling with "proper" 2+2 seating thanks to all-encompassing dimensional increases over the previous model, and driveline choices that include a 300kW/600Nm 4.4-litre turbo V8 (650i) and a 235kW/450Nm 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo six (640i). Making it even safer, the new model is 50 per cent torsionally stiffer. The soft top incorporates the familiar "fin" C-Pillar design and the multi-layered roof provides the comfort and low noise levels of a sedan. For absolute luxury in a big German convertible, it's hardly necessary to look further.
