2012 VW Up!
This is a great little car that is extremely economical on fuel with an combined average of 4.9L per 100km and a 35-litre tank.
A fantastic little car that’s ideal for first-time buyers or city driving. Cheap to run, easy to drive, and very reliable.
We have owned this car for the last 5 years and used it as a daily driver to and from the train station and around town.

Overview
Much like the Smart, VW's up! is designed as a city car, although in 4-seat configuration and a three/five door hatch body. Powered by a three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine, at this stage it's a 5-speed manual only. Based around the Polo it has been cut down where it can be leaving a similarly sized interior space. Where it really shines is in packaging, ride, handling and safety features, not least being the City Emergency Braking function, which takes over braking at speeds of 5-30km/h when things start looking hairy. Yet to be ANCAP tested, it earns 5 stars in the European equivalent.
