With the powerplant of the Golf VI R and carrying over 100kgs less weight the Scirocco presents itself as a very compelling companion. Okay, you'll be sans the 4-Motion AWD and a couple of doors, but you will experience extra urge once up and running. Sporting their intelligent XDL diff lock, it is still never going to compare with AWD off the line, although the DSG version reflects faster acceleration times than the manual - same as the Golf.
