Well-maintained and enthusiast-owned Volkswagen Golf R Mk6 finished in Rising Blue Metallic — widely regarded as the most desirable colour for this model.
I have owned the car for just over 5 years and have maintained it to a high standard throughout, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and long-term reliability. It has also been well cared for by previous owners.
Purchased at approximately 120,000 km, I have covered around 42,000 km during my ownership (roughly 8,000 km per year).

With the demise of the R32, the three and five door R 4-motions have been thrust into the limelight. With its 188kW/330Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine it produces 4kW more power and 10Nm more torque than the six-cylinder, while carrying less weight over the front and being more frugal at 8.7-litres/100km. The weight loss translates into precise steering and flat cornering. With the new, almost pre-emptive 4-motion all-wheel-drive arrangement, accelerating from a standstill is now a front-wheel-spin free affair for a sub 6-second zero to 100km/h using the six-speed manual, with the six-speed DSG fractionally faster again.
