I’ve owned this car since 2017 and it has been incredibly reliable and trustworthy. It has never once broken down on me and has always been serviced regularly and on time. Used mostly as a town car in Melbourne until I moved to Darwin in mid 2024, and since then has still mainly been used around town with a few camping and road trips mixed in. Only selling because I’m upgrading to a 4WD to access more remote areas. Genuinely sad to be selling as it’s been such a dependable car.
Since moving to Darwin, it has been regularly serviced at Brian Turner Automotive in Stuart Park and Top North Auto Electrics & Airconditioning in Winnellie. Recent work completed includes:
• Air conditioning repaired and re-gassed (May 2026)
• Front lower control arm assemblies replaced (2026)
• Brake/clutch fluid flush and service (Feb 2025)
• Regular servicing, filters, bulbs and general maintenance
Overall in good condition for its age and kilometres, though not perfect. There are some minor scratches/marks on the exterior, some paint/water marks on the seats/interior, and some cosmetic discoloration/fading on parts of the exterior trim/bodywork (see photos). No bad smells, major damage or mechanical issues - just honest wear consistent with age and use. Generally very well cared for and cleaned regularly.

Overview
Being based on the Impreza chassis gives the Forester a whole lot of sorted gear to call on. So the drive-train is well sorted, be it manual or auto, with the obvious AWD ability. Power from the 2.5 boxer engine is willing, capable of brisk take-off around town and (in manual form at least) good off-road climbing ability. The interior is a fine place to be for both driver and passenger with easily accessible controls and good space for passengers " especially in the rear where there are no compromises. Of course, the rear seats fold down for a flat cargo space when needed.
