The Mini Roadster joins the Coupe as the first two-seater Mini. Avoiding the controversial look of its companion it sports a cloth roof that folds away neatly, revealing twin roll-over protection bars in a pert little package. The windscreen has been raked back presenting the same lower profile of the Coupe. Being topless required a stiffening of the chassis, for a 20kg weight increase. There's extra load space via access to the boot from the cabin presenting up to 280-litres worth of storage. With a rear spoiler that deploys when travelling over 80km/h, one-upmanship is guaranteed.
