This Kia Rio has electric power assisted steering. An inbuilt bluetooth phone system. This car has air conditioning, turning the scorching summer into a mild winter with ease. The UB five-door hatch Rio is a complete departure from its forebear, being longer, wider, lower, and sports KIA's widely hailed current approach to styling. There's more interior space and a better ride/handling compromise specifically tuned for local conditions. The new benchmark 103kW/167Nm, 1.6-litre petrol engine benefits from direct injection, returning 5.6L/100km (actually lower than the 1.4) and emitting 133g/km of CO2. With all three models - S, Si and SLi - supplied with ABS, stability/traction control, brake-force assist, hill-hold and six airbags, it is expected to gain a (yet to be assigned) five star ANCAP rating.
