The Series 3 GTS introduces the option of 'LPI', a system which directly injects liquid propane for normal driving, then switches to petrol when pushing hard. There are no official figures for the system yet, but the 6.2-Litre V8 produces 325kW/550Nm and returns 13.8L/100km through the six-speed 'Active Select' auto, consuming Premium ULP. Body and interior enhancements are typical HSV. Added here are the MRV performance suspension, four-spot braking (six-spot optional) and 20-inch wheel package. Safety features mirror its lesser Commodore sibling's, with added 'competition mode' stability control, plus the full raft of eight airbags, which deliver a five-star ANCAP rating.
