The ST is the heir to the Focus performance throne. With the 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine (actually pumping more power and torque (in overboost) than when in the Falcon) and six-speed manual (no auto option) it's a standout production that eclipses the XR in sophistication. The partial leather Recaro seats and unique cabin fit-out contribute to that feel. For aural delight, they've actually created a system that transfers induction growl into the cabin. There's a full compliment of airbags for all occupants, hill start assist and "Torque Vectoring Control" combined with ABS, stability control et al, so it deservedly achieves a five ANCAP stars.
