FG MkII XR6 Ute 2dr Man 6sp 585kg 4.0i The rise of the lifestyle workhorse is nowhere better exemplified than in Ford's XR6 ute. Trimmed out in the same manner as the XR6 sedan but lighter and quicker, the two-seat Falcon benefits mightily from the now-standard fitment of electronic stability control. Using the base twin-cam 4.0-litre six used elsewhere across the Falcon/Territory range, it puts its 195kW/391Nm to good use whether it be powering along the freeway or lugging a load up back. Sports suspension, 17-inch alloys, XR6 body kit, sports seats, four airbags, a five-star ANCAP rating and a decent-size load area make for a pretty complete ute.
