Powered by Ford's 6.2-litre V8 that puts out 411 horsepower, the F-150 H-D can move that 3,334 kilograms of leather-lined opulence from zero-to-100- kilometres-per-hour in less than eight seconds. While eliciting an amazing cacophony from the massive dual exhaust.
The horses are put to the pavement through a six-speed automatic gearbox and all four wheels. The four-wheel-drive system has a number of settings: automatic 44, 44 high and 44 low.
In addition to having a road presence that is larger than life, the F-150 will go anywhere. On road. Off road. It could even tow a small house, yet according to the motoring critics, its ride quality is surprisingly good.
VDC (Vehicle Development Corporation) in Melbourne imported these F-150 trucks to Australia and converted them to RHD, complianced them and then sold them to lucky owners for over $150,000 when new. Build No. 1551 has covered an accident free 84,176 kilometres and comes with service history with receipts, log books and owners manuals. The F-150 was originally owned and used as a company vehicle by VDC of Campbellfield, Victoria prior to being sold to the second owner in 2015 with 18,000 Klms on the clock.
The truck is fitted with a hard canopy and the tray has a Harley Davidson bed liner and bed carpet protector. The tray also features a Harley Davidson Limited Edition only Motor Cycle Carrier Barrier so you'll be able to transport your Harley in the back of your F-150.
The truck is also fitted with a dual 3" stainless exhaust and factory 22-inch 5-spoke machined-aluminum wheels with a flat-black face and Harley-Davidson logo center caps wrapped in near new 285/45R22 Nexen A/T tyres.
As you'd expect its loaded with equipment from power 10-way heated and cooled leather-wrapped front buckets, heated 60/40-split/folding rear bench seat with a one-touch lift feature, power everything including a sunroof and a navigation system thats tied into an upscale Sony audio system. There are also powered running boards designed to ease ingress and egress and a keyless coded entry system on the passenger's door.
And you won't forget that you are in a special Harley Davidson model F-150 with badges and logos everywhere from the pedals, the seatbacks, navigation screen, fenders and tailgate to the elongated Harley Davidson name either side of the box and the front sill plates. And lets not forget the one that sits atop the centre console lid its not only large, it houses the vehicles VIN, year and its limited-edition number. A reminder that this is a big American truck on steroids.
The F-150 Harley-Davidson is an outrageous truck. It is big, bold and could certainly eat most 4x4s for breakfast but it is a great vehicle for towing your race float, your caravan or simply cruising in one of the biggest, badest Fords around.
