This vehicle comes with a full service history, maintained exclusively by BMW dealers or SouthernBM, with complete invoices, books, receipts, and a second key included.
The listed price is for a factory stock car and does not include the Ohlins suspension, Recaro’s or the TE37’s.
Following can be negotiated;
- Recaro Pole Position seats on BK electric rails : +$4000 (costed me $5,800)
- Öhlins Road & Track coilovers +$4000 (costed me ~$6000 with sway bar links, install, alignment )
- Your choice of wheels:
- TE37s with Yokohama C50 tyres, or
- Original, unmarked 359M wheels with near-new Michelin PS4s (additional $4000 if you want the second set)
- Genuine Blackline rear tail lights (originals also included)
All upgrades were purchased brand new within the last 1,000 km, with receipts available (excluding the unmarked TE37s).
The car has been driven sparingly, averaging approximately 1,000 km per year, mainly for commutes to office and back to keep it in optimal condition. It has never been tracked and has always been treated with care and respect.
It remains mechanically unmodified:

- No catless downpipes/exhausts
- No aftermarket engine modifications
Owned by a genuine BMW enthusiast (E46 M3, E92 M3(sold)and this 1M), the car has been meticulously maintained to an exceptional standard. (Some might say I have OCD)
There are a few minor stone chips consistent with age, which I’m happy to point out to serious buyers.
With the addition of the Recaro seats and Öhlins suspension, it feels like a different car altogether.
According to the 1M Registry, only 257 RHD Black Sapphire Metallic 1Ms were ever produced, making this example significantly rarer than other colour combinations.
Reason for Sale
As with many enthusiasts, it’s time for the next chapter, moving towards a Porsche 911.
I will also be listing my E46 M3 and an Australian-delivered, low km unmodified 2007 Evo 9 shortly.
A few days’ notice is required prior to inspection, as the vehicle is currently in storage.
Proof of funds and a non-refundable deposit will be required for test drives.

The 1 Series M Coupe is a sensation nevertheless.
