For 2012 the ever popular Pajero gets a new nose, interior enhancements and safety niceties - notably a reversing camera on most variants. With new competitors coming from all directions it's a challenging market, but the Pajero still gets praise for its overall handling and power-trains. There's the 147kW/441Nm 3.2-litre four-cylinder diesel which returns 9.2L/100km, or the 184kW/329Nm V-six petrol (13.5L/100km). Both can be optioned with either a five-speed manual or auto transmission. A rear diff lock is optional, range wide. Safety wise there's the full complement of airbags, ABS and stability/traction control, for a four-star ANCAP rating.
