Challenger is back, and it will be interesting to see how the LCV formula works in SUV translation this time around. The Triton-based Challenger has a full chassis and a live rear axle that augur well for off-road work, while an overlay of sophistication makes it more comfortable and car-like. With five and seven-seat variants, a tough 131kW/400Nm 2.5-litre turbodiesel and the choice of five-speed manual or auto transmissions it's a practical conveyance that competently addresses safety. Stability control, front and side-curtain airbags and ABS are standard. LS and XLS include climate control, cruise control and alloy wheels.
