Overview
It's interesting to note that the Cruze, positioned at the smaller end of the market, is basically the same size as all Commodore sedans produced up until the introduction of the VN. There in lies the appeal of this locally manufactured "small" car - plenty of interior space. It's also received a much needed boost with the re-jigging of the 1.8-litre Ecotec, and the introduction of a beaut little 103kW/200Nm, 6.4L/100km, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol. Plus, the previous engine of choice, namely the 2.0-litre turbodiesel has received some handy refinements that see it producing 120kW/360Nm and 5.6L/100km with little fuss.
