I am selling my 2011 Holden Barina Hatchback due to upgrading to a bigger car. I have had no major issues with this car, and absolutely love it to bits, but unfortunately I have just outgrown it. I am the second owner, female, and non-smoker. The car is also registered until June 2026. I have just hit 165,000km completed in it, so it will require its 165,000km service + 150,000km service extras (extras not done previously by my mechanic in its 150,000km service).

This Barina holds a 5 star ANCAP safety rating, and includes passenger, driver, and side airbags, making it a perfectly safe and economical car to do your daily driving in.
I have put in an aftermarket Sony head unit that is compatible with Apple CarPlay, as well as a reversing camera, two things that just make that day to day life a little easier. I have saved and will provide the original stereo that will come with the car if you wish to change it back.
Externally, the car only has a few dints and scratches, mostly just wear and tear over the 15 years it has been on the road. I have attached photos of these. The car boot gas struts also need changing, but those are a cheap and quick fix to complete. The tires on the car are also due to be changed, but I know some people like to change them themselves/go to a trusted tire dealership, hence why I am selling without a roadworthy.
Internally, the car has a few things that need to be looked at, all of which I am currently in the process of trying to get fixed (hence why the lower price if someone wants to get the parts done at a cheaper price themselves), none of which affects the cars ability to drive, I have had no issues driving it each day.
Things to be looked at (as listed by my mechanic):
- A water pump leak
- A rocket cover gasket leak (only a minor issue)
- Extras for the 150,000km service as previously mentioned - timing belt + tensioner, drive belt, transmission fluid, brake
fluid and valve clearances to be checked.
- Strut tops (not a major issue at all, just noticeable when turning)

In the highly competitive small car market the TM Barina presents just one hatchback variant, with few options, in an attempt to reduce buyer confusion. As such it comes very well equipped, with good power and reasonable fuel economy. Safety is right up there with the best, boasting six airbags and all the important electronic safety devices for a five-star ANCAP rating. Being overall larger by some margin than its predecessor it offers a roomier cabin with seating for five and plenty of space for taller drivers.
