The new Eco LPi system kicks goals all around the ground. It's not only more powerful (198kW/409Nm) than the petrol version of the 4.0-litre six, it's a smoother delivery, all in the rpm ranges where most driving is done. A decision facing the buyer will be how to configure the boot. Three options, all centered around the spare - full size, space-saver or a can of tyre repair fluid with powered pump - result from the need to place the uncompromisingly shaped LPG tanks where you'd normally find one.
