This 520d is Luxury Line rather than Msport. This means more brightwork and less blacked out trim and with more comfortable suspension.
Because you don't see so many wagons on the road, it still looks modern enough and is truly elegant. There are no dents in the bodywork.
I am the 2nd owner and bought it from BMW in Southbank Melbourne. They sold it new and the first owner had traded it back in for a newer model after only 30,000Km had been covered in its first 9 years. All annual services had been performed by Melbourne BMW and the log book is with the car and confirms this. I brought the car to Canberra in 2020 and have since added 105,000km. I have had it serviced at Canberra BMW except for the 2 most recent oil services when I used European Garage in Fyshwick. In my time with the vehicle it has had both rear suspension airbags replaced (a consumable item as they are rubber) and new 17' Bridgestone BMW specific runflat tyres installed 15,000Km ago. Being 17" rather than the optional 18" or 19" the ride comfort benefits are apparent.
There have been no smokers in the car and, (interestingly for a wagon) no children and/or pets. It is very clean inside.
The options on this car are very interesting and the special ones are: The comfort seats up front. They are 17 way memory adjustable with pneumatic bladders for lumbar and side bolster width. They are the best seats I have ever enjoyed in a car and I will miss them. The car also has soft close doors so you can gently pull the door shut to one click and the car will do the rest to fully close. I'll miss that feature also. The Xenon headlights are "steerable" which greatly assists on dark winding roads, as does the high beam assistant which will auto high/low beam for you. Power tailgate and power load cover which electrically extends and retracts when you open and close the tailgate and even when you open just the glass rear window section of the tailgate for placing smaller items. The car is super practical so with its level of comfort and elegance its an all-rounder alternative to an SUV.
There is nothing wrong with the car. All features work as they should and there are no outstanding maintenance items to attend to other than needing some new gas struts for the front bonnet - though I will likely have those replaced before the sale.
Whoever buys this vehicle will enjoy a gem of a car. This is a great distance cruiser and would be perfect to support an active lifestyle with a bike in the back and a kayak on the roof. Don't let the 2.0 diesel spec fool you. Plenty of torque for hauling people and luggage up and down the Clyde or to the snow. It is no sportscar but would be a safe and reliable package for a new driver or someone in their 20's. Fuel economy is always 6.4l used per 100km traveled and the car will do close to 1000km on a tank of fuel. Super economical.
Please call to make an appointment to see the car. I prefer to negotiate once a potential buyer has inspected the vehicle rather than prior. All questions are welcomed. A roadworthy slip will be obtained after a deposit has been received so that it will not expire while the car is on the market.
