As a real 4WD workhorse, Toyota#s 70 series cab-chassis LandCruiser is about as tough as they come when accessing remote work sites. Using a 151kW version of the 4.5-litre turbodiesel V8 producing 430Nm, the LandCruiser cab-chassis drives through a five-speed manual transmission with a dual-range transfer case and will go just about anywhere with its hefty torque allowing it to deal with heavy loads, or trailers, in difficult circumstances. The cab chassis comes in Workmate, RV, GX and GXL guise, with specifications varying from basic to a little less so in the GXL.
