Overview
Functionality gives way to panache and style in the latest iteration of the Mazda2. The Mazda light car comes in three and five-door hatch variants and delivers more driver involvement, as well as a funkier face. The result is the Mazda actually measures a little smaller than before, but it compensates with a distinctly upmarket feel and a decent dose of driving dynamics. The carry-over 1.5-litre engine produces 83kW and 141Nm, coming with a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto. Neo and Maxx models feature dual front airbags, ABS and air-conditioning, with stability control part of an optional safety pack.
