Overview
Introduced in 2007, the Thai-built Mazda2 reflects Mazda's current ultra-wedge styling trend. The base model Neo is also the volume seller. All Mazda2s are powered by a 1.5-litre four cylinder MZR petrol engine which develops 76kW/135Nm. Gearboxes are a five-speed manual or four-speed auto. These return 6.4 L/100km and 6.8L/100km respectively. Safety features include stability and traction control. Recent models have also been graced with upgraded suspension for improved ride quality. Mazda also charges no extra for the range of Mica/Metallic body colours.
