Many of us couldn't wait for Scot designer Ian Callum to get his hands on a Jaguar saloon. That finally happened with the new XF, which replaces the S-Type and combines state of the art technology with on-road charisma, comfort and safety. Base engine is a 152kW/435NM 2.7-litre turbo diesel V6, supplemented by a 175kW/293Nm three-litre petrol V6 and two 4.2-litre V8s one producing 219kW/411Nm and a supercharged version winding out 306kW/560Nm. The supercharged V8 adds a reversing camera, 20-inch alloys, heated front seats, Xenon headlights and a TV to Luxury XF specification.
