There aren't many naturally aspirated, manual hot hatches left these days. Everything now either has a turbo or is a Hybrid/EV. And of the ones that are still left, certainly not many that have VTEC, are FWD, and have a LSD - limited slip differential.
That's perhaps the most important feature in this FN2, that it is a facelift 2010 model and comes with a LSD unlike the earlier pre-facelift versions. (I have confirmed with Honda Australia that this car has an LSD installed when I purchased it). This makes this FWD car a joy to drive, especially when cornering and accelerating out of corners. No understeer like our non LSD siblings, no lift off oversteer like our RWD cousins, just a well planted stance, good traction and an engine you can engage early out of a turn. This car's formula is a true expression of what a naturally aspirated VTEC FWD Type R should be - it's all about that zingy, revy engine.
Enjoy the old school Honda feel inside a fairly modern interior. Featuring the venerable, bulletproof K20 engine by Honda.
Paint is in a fair condition - some wear here and there but it's not bad considering it is 16 years old now. All panels are intact. I'll give you the full run down during the inspection. Recently detailed and cleaned inside and out.
