Sportwagon (Wagon)
Overview
With SUVs virtually hijacking the family wagon market, Holden decided to invent the Sportwagon. Based on the same wheelbase as regular Commodores, the new Holden is about style as much as practicality. Despite having less load space than previous Holden wagons, the Sportwagon helps make up with neat engineering such as the forward-hinged tailgate # and more rear-seat legroom than the previous VZ wagon. In SS-V, regular SS V8 gear is augmented by curtain airbags, substantial 19-inch alloys, leather trim, automatic climate control and an upgraded, 11-speaker sound system - all of which lifts the homegrown sports wagon into Euro-competitive territory.
