Selling my beloved Commodore as I am leaving Australia soon. This car has been incredibly reliable and a pleasure to drive for the 12,000km I’ve owned it. It’s the Series II with the fuel-efficient 3.0L SIDI V6 engine.

Overview
The VE Series II Omega Sportwagon, with its 3.0-litre SIDI V6, introduces us to E85 'flex fuel'. That's up to 85% ethanol mixed with at least 15% petrol. On straight petrol it produces 190kW/290Nm and returns 9.1L/100km through the six-speed auto and 16-inch alloys. Unfortunately the Australian standard for E85 is yet to come. Nevertheless the car is very well equipped. Standout is the new iQ system, noted for its flexibility in sound inputs and general ease of use. With a complete list of safety features, including ABS, stability/traction control, brake assist and six airbags, the five-star ANCAP rating is fitting.
