Overview
Holden's billion-dollar VE Commodore launched in August 2006, bringing new levels of sophistication, safety, dynamics, comfort, space and style. Depending on model, engine options include two versions of the 3.6-litre V6, as well as a thumping 6-litre V8. The base 3.6-litre V6 has been upgraded to improve fuel consumption and reduce emissions, dropping power slightly to 175kW/325Nm in the process. The dual-fuel V6 receives more marked economy improvements. Omega and Lumina also offer no transmission choices ? both regular and dual-fuel models come with four-speed auto only. Stability and traction control are standard, as are six airbags.
