Overview
The Captiva SUV occupies a significant place in Holden's model line-up. It's a vital contender in the still-healthy SUV segment and aims at the Ford Territory although it's similar in size to Toyota's RAV4. Like many other SUVs, Captiva is now also available in manual-only front-drive form, along with a 103kW/220Nm 2.4-litre petrol four-cylinder engine supplementing turbo diesel and petrol V6 powerplants. As base model, it gets five seats where other Captivas get seven, but equipment levels are fine with stability control, six airbags, alloys, cruise control, trip computer and air-conditioning all factored in.
