Overview
Ford treads a slightly different path to Holden with its latest FG utes. The Falcon workhorses have become far more refined, but still maintain a load-toting edge with base utes able to carry up to 775kg. The Falcon comes as either a cab-chassis, or as a regular ute and is available with the full range of powerplants including the base 195kW six, the 156kW E-Gas six, the 270kW Turbo six and the 290kW Boss V8. Model-dependent, six-speed manual or four, five or six-speed autos are available. No stability control yet, but dual airbags are standard, and traction control and side bags optional.
