SPORTY VOLVO XC90 R-DESIGN ($5400 ONO)
Looking for a family car with a super-sized boot?
Already has Safety Check Pink Slip done for rego renewal for 2026-2027 (rego till 10 June 26).
We are reluctantly selling this 7-Seater 2009 Volvo XC90 D5 R-Design All-Wheel Drive Wagon due to no longer needing two 7-seater wagons in the family. It is a comfortable, roomy vehicle that can also provide a massive boot when the 2nd and 3rd row seats are folded flat.
This Volvo XC90 D5 R-Design has front fog lamps, premium sound system, cruise control, ABS brakes and side airbags (a total of 6 airbags fitted) for your safety, front and rear power windows, reversing sensors and aftermarket reversing camera.
Only has 147,000 km on the clock. Comes with log book and two sets of keys. We are the second owners (bought 2019).
The R-Design is Volvo’s nod at a more sporty feel with dual exhausts and alloys to complete the look. This model is the only one on which 20"alloy wheels are available. Firmer suspension and lower-profile tyres mean better cornering and the speed-sensitive steering is also adjusted to be more sporty. R-Design leather seats are more comfortable than other XC90 models and have more bolstering (read: they hold you more) which is great on long rides.
Reluctantly selling "well-below market price" because:
- have already bought a smaller (manual) second car to suit our 'learner driver' phase of life
- front electric windows work but sometimes need an extra upward flick of the switch when get to the top to stay closed, given have been automatically going down again once get to the top - haven't bothered fixing as it's easier (and cheaper) to just do an extra flick up on the power window switch to close as needs be!
- indicator turn signal stalk was broken and has been strongly glued together (see photo) and is working OK for us, so haven't bothered replacing to as-new-condition, but you may want to - replacement ones off eBay cost $100-$120.
- has a few drips per week oil leak that our mechanic says can be fixed but that losing a small amount of oil between services is no big deal but you may want to get this fixed.
- has the usual wear and tear associated with family life and supermarkets (see photos)
- and FYI: being an R-Design with double exhausts underneath, this model was not made with room for a spare wheel bay, so is not fitted with a spare tyre. Run flat tyres could be fitted or rely on roadside assist (eg NRMA) as we have done but never needed.
Trusting this explains why we're putting it up for a "well-below market price" sale of $5400 to be fair to its age and condition.
