Volkswagen's Caddy Maxi van is an extended, 470mm-longer version of the base Caddy van with a carrying capacity of up to 813kg and a load area expanding to 4.2 cubic metres. Like the base Caddy, it can be specified with a 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 75kW and 148Nm, or a 77kW/250Nm 1.9-litre turbodiesel. The base Caddy Maxi Van comes only with a five-speed manual transmission, with a six-speed DSG sequential manual optional in the turbodiesel. The two-seat Caddy Maxi Van gets ABS braking, driver and passenger airbags, basic CD audio and air-conditioning. Options include side airbags, stability control and parking sensors.
