Overview
Functionality gives way to panache and style in the latest iteration of the Mazda2. The Mazda light car comes in three and five-door hatch variants and aims to deliver more driver involvement, as well as present a funkier face. The result is the Mazda actually measures a little smaller than before, but it compensates with a distinctly upmarket feel and a decent dose of driving dynamics. The carry-over 1.5-litre engine produces 83kW and 141Nm, coming with a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto. The premium Genki adds front side and curtain airbags, a body kit, 16-inch alloys and upgraded trim with a leather steering wheel. Stability control is optional.
