Overview
In addition to the quirky new Soul hatchback, Kia has another interesting new weapon in its arsenal: the impressively specified Cerato small sedan. The Holden Cruze-size Kia goes for broke with across the board standard equipment, including six airbags, ABS, active front headrests, four power windows, heated exterior mirrors and six-speaker audio. Spend a grand in the base Cerato and you get stability and traction control, cruise control and steering wheel audio controls. It's big inside with a decent boot and the 115kW/194Nm 2.0-litre VVT engine, in five-speed manual or four-speed auto transmission form, is thrifty and punchy.
