The light commercial market got a little more complicated when Isuzu decided to start selling its workhorse D-MAX ute alongside the virtually identical Holden-badged version once known as the Rodeo but now badged Colorado. Available in four-door dual-cab and two-door space-cab variants, all D-MAX models run a 120kW/360Nm 3.0-litre turbodiesel with five-speed manual or four-speed auto transmission, and with two-wheel drive or dual-range four-wheel drive. D-MAX offers the choice of dual cab ute or long-wheelbase cab-chassis variants. Anti-lock braking and dual front airbags are standard on all except the base EX cab-chassis. Air-conditioning is standard across the board.
