Overview
Holden's billion-dollar VE Commodore launched in August 2006, bringing new levels of sophistication, safety, dynamics, comfort, space and style. Depending on model, engine options include two versions of the 3.6-litre V6, as well as a thumping 6-litre V8. The base, four-speed auto-only 3.6-litre V6 has been upgraded to improve fuel consumption and reduce emissions, dropping power at the same time to 175kW and 325Nm. The dual-fuel V6 benefits from more marked economy improvements. In Omega, stability and traction control are standard, as are six airbags.
