2009 Ford Falcon FG XR8 Ute
I am the third owner of the car, which has been kept in great condition by myself and past owners. The vehicle has extremely low Kms for its age, with the majority of my driving being short, town drives, with the occasional highway trip.
I purchased the vehicle with the aftermarket wheels, exhaust and lowered ride height already installed, all of which has passed a Blue slip inspection and subsequent rego checks. The engine was also tuned to run on premium 98, which it has only ever been filled with.
The exterior is in good condition, with minor paint marks, particularly on the front bumper. The aircon unit has some issues, with the de-mister not working, and only the driver side heater working correctly. This was an issues also from the previous owners.
I have added the following cosmetic mods during my ownership:
- MK2 XR Falcon headlights (LED Indicator and park lights added)
- Aftermarket LED tail lights (LED reverse and indicator bulbs added)
- Yellow LED fog light bulbs
- Boss 290 bonnet decal
- Colour matched indicator side mirrors (LED indicator bulbs added)
- Titanium hardware in engine bay
- Growler big mouth & cold air intake
- Genuine FGX floor mats
- New leather handbrake/shifter boots
- New leather centre console lid
- Genuine FG push start button and key lockout
- Genuine FGX shadow grey sun visors
- New, black roof liner
- Blacked out interior trim
- Raceseng shift knob
It is a regretful sale, however it is no longer practical for me.

Overview
Ford treads a slightly different path to Holden with its latest FG utes. The Falcon workhorses have become far more refined, but still maintain a load-toting edge with base utes able to carry up to 775kg. The XR8 ute lowers the payload but delivers a thumping 290kW/520Nm. Transmissions are a six-speed manual or sequential auto, and the power is tamed via traction control, a limited-slip differential and performance brakes. Presentation virtually equates the XR6 Turbo except for a power-bulge bonnet. Inside there's XR seats and steering wheel, and automatic climate control. No stability control, and side airbags remain optional.
