Overview
Following the A3 Sportback three-door, Audi's front-drive A3 cabriolet steps right up to challenge BMW's 1 Series convertible with two petrol turbo four-cylinder engines and, depending on engine, the choice of 6-speed manual or S tronic transmission. The A3 works visually as a convertible. Equipment levels basically replicate those of the hardtop with stability control and driver, passenger and front side airbags, plus roll bars behind the rear seats. Naturally the fabric roof is power-operated ? with the option of full or part-auto operation - and alloy wheels are standard. The 6-speed manual or S tronic 2.0 TFSI develops 147kW and 280Nm.
