This is a genuinely special example of a 2008 Audi S5 4.2 V8 manual — a car from an era when engineering and feel clearly took priority over cost-cutting. With 149,000km on the clock, it presents in very good condition for its age and has been meticulously maintained with thoughtful, high-quality upgrades throughout.
It has just been serviced, and not in a “tick-the-box” way — I’ve gone above and beyond to ensure it’s running at its absolute best. The recent work includes an upper engine clean, brand new DBA brake rotors and pads, Bosch iridium spark plugs, and NGK coils. It’s also been fitted with top-tier Osram Xenarc Night Breaker HID globes, which dramatically improve nighttime visibility.
Over the past 12 months, the car has seen significant investment to modernise and refine the driving experience while keeping everything cohesive and factory-looking. This includes an 8.8-inch integrated head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera, and a full speaker replacement — making it a genuinely enjoyable place to spend time. A discreet, integrated dashcam is also fitted.
Mechanically, important items have been addressed proactively: a new starter motor, new window regulators, clutch slave cylinder, and replacement coolant lines and overflow tank.
