2007 Holden Commodore Ute – Reliable Tuned Workhorse
Selling my 2007 Holden Commodore Ute (base model). This has been my daily driver and has never let me down—only selling because I’ve upgraded to a new car.
If I didn’t replace it, I’d still be driving it.
🔧 The Good:
Strong, reliable running gear – turn the key and it goes every time
Tuned with minor burbles (nice note, not over the top)
Aftermarket exhaust
EVC throttle controller fitted
King Springs (super lows) – sits clean
Serviced regularly (roughly twice a year)
Mostly short, easy drives (about 10 mins to work in Mornington)
Non-smoker’s car
No timing chain rattle
Believed timing chains have been replaced at some stage – factory chains were known to wear early, and at this mileage it’s running as it should
⚠️ Things to Note (Read Properly):
This is not a perfect car and does need a few things sorted, but the drivetrain itself is solid.
Driver’s door lock is a bit strange – works, but needs key turned while opening - probably the biggest issue.
Indicator can stay solid (not blinking) in colder weather – from what I’ve read likely BCM related, but haven’t looked into it
Sound system can be inconsistent – sometimes only one speaker works
A few dings/marks from being used as a work ute
Whole car could use a proper detail
No service history unfortunately
